Position Title: Middleware Administrator, multiple positions
Job Description: Build and support IBM Websphere application server to spring boot tomcat migration for J2EE applications. responsible for managing and administrating middleware technologies (Weblogic, Websphere, tomcat). Build, maintain and monitor the cloud platforms AWS (auto scaling, AVI, security, EC2, EFS, EBS, S3, KMS). automate the middleware components with cl/cd tools such as Jenkins, Ansible. monitor tools like ca wily, new relic, and Datadog. Manage and support ElasticsSearch, KIBANA, and Logstash. part of release engineering aspects of Devops including the configuration management, build and deployment management, continuous integration and delivery. Responsible for ansible based deployment and configuration automation solutions. build and support web-based services and protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, REST, APACHE, and TOMCAT). lead migration from JEE applications to open source. responsible for Linux concepts likes namespaces, CGROUPS. responsible for micro-service architectures and deployment. work with l2/l3 protocols, 1pv4/1pv6 and TCP/IP stack. Maintain SOLARIS, LINUX (RHEL, CENTOS, UBUNTU), in bare-metal and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Openstack). build high level scripts using languages python, shell, batch, as well as script environments like bash with Devops workflow automation (Jenkins, ansible, puppet). troubleshoot IBM Websphere, APACHE, TOMCAT and cloud services like AWS. Maintain tools like JIRA, confluence, stash.
Job Requirements: Masters degree or its foreign equivalent in computer science, IT, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, control systems, or a related field. 12 months experience in the job offered or in a related field such as network administrator, network architect, junior architect, software engineer, tech lead, technical specialist, or it related. In lieu of Masters degree and one-year experience, the employer also accepts a Bachelors degree or its foreign equivalent in computer science, IT, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, control systems, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor progressive experience in the job offered or in a related field such as network administrator, network architect, junior architect, software engineer, tech lead, technical specialist, or it related. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must possess certifications on IBM certified system administrator – Websphere application server network deployment v8.0, IBM certified system administrator – Websphere MQ v7.0, ITIL foundation certificate in IT service management.
Work Location: Sterling, VA & other unanticipated client locations in the US. May require relocations.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
Hours: 9 AM to 6 PM
